Our current projects

We would like to briefly introduce you to our current projects on this page. You will find examples here of how our software is used in different ways. Whether it is regional electricity, municipal electricity, balancing group management, direct marketing, market and settlement processes, community approaches or flexible rates, you can get an idea for yourself and visit the websites for our projects.

Regionah Energie

Our energy from home. That is what regionah Energie GmbH stands for. If everyone draws their electricity directly from their neighborhood, then no further power lines are necessary. regionah Energie has taken up the cause of making the energy revolution more personal and of promoting the region. Since 2017, customers in the region between Reutlingen and Ulm have been able to purchase electricity directly from their region. Lumenaza assumes all energy-related tasks and functions as a service provider in this project. Our software controls generation, storage and consumption, and we assume the role of the direct marketer, balancing group manager and all market and accounting processes.

Visualization of electricity flows for E.ON

The southern Swedish village of Simris has 140 households and feeds its energy needs almost entirely from wind power and photovoltaic systems. Excess electricity is temporarily stored in batteries or used, for example, as flexibilities in heat pumps. The company’s customers become prosumers as they consume self-generated electricity within the community. Lumenaza is responsible for the mapping of the energy flows in the project. Customers can use their own platform at any time to see how much energy their plant produces and how much they have used themselves. The use of flexibilities is also mapped so users have full transparency at all times.

Active Network Management for All

ANM4L (Active Network Management for All) demonstrates how innovative active network management solutions can increase the integration of renewable energy sources in electricity distribution networks. Lumenaza will provide the software platform to motivate the customers to actively participate in a local energy market. The benefits of using flexibilities in active and reactive power will be shared with customers to strengthen loyalty in their communities and to avoid expensive investments in grid extensions. In this project, Lumenaza is collaborating with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, the Municipality of Borgholm, E.ON, Lund University and RWTH Aachen University.

Regional power in the heart of Upper Swabia

Five community energy companies from the Biberach district have joined forces to form the BiberEnergie platform together with Interconnector GmbH. The idea: Consumers can buy electricity produced in the region. The added value remains in the Biberach district, thus strengthening local structures. Lumenaza handles the market processes for end customers as well as direct marketing and provides a customer portal.

EnBW Solar+

We are breaking new ground together with EnBW. The Solar+ project offers customers a complete PV storage solution for their household. Supply, generation and storage of electricity are optimized by intelligent control for self-consumption. New rate types and community approaches complement the product and help to increase customer loyalty. In the energy community, members become more energy independent and can share their generated energy. We assume the role of direct marketer, balancing group manager and all market and settlement processes.

Fichtel Mountain power for StW-Wunsiedel

Since March 2016, Stadtwerke Wunsiedel has been offering electricity consumers in the Fichtel Mountain area a regional electricity product with the help of our software. The electricity can be obtained directly from solar, wind or biogas plants in the Fichtel Mountains. Our technology bundles a multitude of decentralized plants into a regional virtual power plant. Sophisticated algorithms optimize production and consumption for a balanced electricity balance in this region. Lumenaza acts in this project as balancing group manager, direct marketer and provides the frontend solution. Stadtwerke Wunsiedel uses our software platform as a white-label solution.

IPFenergie for Bopfingen

EnBW ODR, the city of Bopfingen and Lumenaza bring together consumers and producers of green electricity in the Bopfingen region. Electricity is purchased from local producers and sold to consumers in the same region under the IPFenergie brand. In this project, we provide the website with our marketplace and assume the role of direct marketer and balancing group manager. We are also available as a contact person for producers who offer their production plant through direct marketing.

Cooperative green electricity for Neumarkt

Since the summer of 2016, Jurenergie cooperative in the Neumarkt district offers its members and interested citizens their own electricity product. Our software now enables the cooperative to market its self-generated energy to its members. You can also use make use of this benefit when addressing new members or integrating third-party systems into the regional electricity product. In this project, we assume the role of electricity supplier and direct marketer as well as all other energy-related tasks and functions. Together, we leave the added value in the region.

Regiostrom Altbayern-Schwaben

As a project developer and energy service provider, actensys from Ellzee has expanded its range of services with us. With Altbayern-Schwaben regional power product it can now also regionally market electricity generated from project plants. Thanks to its appearance through our co-branding, it can not only win new customers, but can also address old ones with new offers, thus increasing customer loyalty in the long term. In this project, we assume the role of electricity supplier and direct marketer as well as all other energy-related tasks and functions.

The community for a battery manufacturer

Since 2014, we have been working intensively with various partners to successfully integrate the steadily increasing number of battery storage units in the energy market. We have networked community members with each other in a project with a battery manufacturer. If you do not need or store your own electricity right now, you can push it into a virtual electricity pool. Our software controls generation, storage and consumption, and we assume the role of the direct marketer, balancing group manager and all market and accounting processes. The software has also been further developed in order to be able to map new rate types in a highly automated and flexible manner.

NatürlichEnergie Eifel Mosel Hunsrück

NaturEnergie EMH GmbH from Monzelfeld offers its customers three promises: The energy supply is natural, sustainable and close. Since 2017, customers in the Eifel, Mosel and Hunsrück regions have been able to source electricity directly from their region. In this project, we take over all energy-related tasks and functions as a service provider. Our software controls generation, storage and consumption, and we assume the role of the direct marketer, balancing group manager and all market and accounting processes.

Area and district electricity

Together with Stadtwerk Karlsruhe, we have set up a power community for neighborhoods and areas in the city. Since the beginning of 2018 tenants have had the opportunity to purchase the electricity generated in their neighborhoods directly as tenant electricity. The community power product now enables the housing industry to offer its customers another building block for a livable and future-oriented living and working environment. In the project, we take over the energy-management processes for the supply of tenant electricity along with data collection, the change processes, the billing and the customer communication. We also provide the customer portal.

Vattenfall Sun Partnership

Since January 2017, we have been collaborating with the supplier Vattenfall in the “Sun Partnership” project. With Vattenfall as a partner, companies can produce electricity on the roof of their own property by operating a photovoltaic system, reducing their own electricity costs and at the same time building up their fixed assets. The solar system is leased from Vattenfall in a solar contracting model so consumers do not incur high initial investment costs. In this project, we assume the role of direct marketer, provide the internet platform and offer commercial enterprises the residual electricity supply.
